Our ongoing "Paper Doll Panoply" features an impressive array of local handmade paper dolls. Participants received a twenty four inch doll made from plywood to assemble and enhance to their artistic liking and in the medium of their choice.
Dolls have been created in a variety of mediums and themes, from the terrifying "Maleficent" composed by Natalie Kennedy in the style of a Disney antagonist to the beautiful found object piece "Doll House" composed by Resident Artist Anna Rather.

Meet another one of our Resident Artists, Michelle Mulligan.
After joyfully raising her family, Michelle is now busy with creating art. A member of Akron Society of Artists and Canton Artists League, she has exhibited and garnered awards in Stark, Summit and Jefferson counties and is a founding member of the Market Street Art Spot Gallery in Minerva, Ohio. Two years of art training at the university level plus private lessons, individual research, and general observation over the years have had a significant impact on her artwork.
"It's all about the Light revealing to us the texture, color, and value of life. My attempts to capture that reality is what I give back and call 'art'."
